Squashers Storms to the Semis

The past 3 weeks saw the likes of Peiqi, Peggy, Jiaxian, Qiao Yi, Siying (Yes Auntie Mah!), Zhirui, Huaming, Clarence, Louis and Thaddeus engaging in fiery battles with Hall 3 and Hall 1 in the Inter-Hall Squash Games 09/10.
In the 1st game against Hall 3, we were presented with a surprise where they fielded unknown but pretty good players onto the courts. To make things worse, Star Player Zhirui came down with a bad diarrhea and flu in the morning (Wah you should have smelt my toilet. Worst atomic bomb ever.). Despite this predicament, we remain unfazed as we went on to thrash our opponents 4-1, with rookie Clarence even literally squashing his opponent 9-0, 9-0! What a feat!
The following game against Hall 1 was no easy fight either. Their whole team was practically the ex-TJC School Squash Team which boasted a wealth of experienced, fit and gigantic players. Peggy, playing her first competitive match in 3 years, first upset the odds by beating her opponent 2-1 in a skin-tight battle. Veterans Zhirui and Thaddeus then sealed the win with unanimous victories over their goliath-like opponents without sweat, storming the team into the semi-finals for the 8th consecutive time in IHG history! And 3 cheers to Eunice for coming down to support us despite being on crutches!
