Night Cycling '09

yoyoyo what's up my man? The Kanye West dissing Taylor Swift act has probably rocked you Hall 2 fellows as much as it has shocked your Publications Sects.

Coupled with the mid-terms coming up, together with a few bad results for the Arsenal fans out there, you probably find yourself in need of some breathing space, some leisure, some fun, some bonding with your BFFs in this place we call home. . .

Then look no further because you happen to be at the right site at the right time!
and yes! not that it isn't obvious enough, but our very own Night Cycling 2009 is right up!
It will be held on the 25th September 2009, the Friday just before recess week so you have the whole recess week to recover should you suffer a great deal in this 'grueling' event. All you have to do is turn up on that night at 8pm at the Futsal Court and embrace yourself for a night of twisted (seniors, we promise you that this is different) joy and happiness as we cycle the night away as a Hall. A small sum of $13 will be required which will go a long way in ensuring that your night will be entertaining, gratifying and memorable.

Moreover, this is the 1st event that the 26th JCRC is organising so do lend us your support alrighty. We'll be dying to impress and we're sure you'll enjoy yourselves as much as we have had planning this for you. Come down with your OGs, block mates, roomies, loo-mies, whatever. Show us that Lance Armstrong within you, less the performance-enhancement drugs of course =)

Your fellow bikers,
Lance "Cedrick+Fawn" Armstrong

and once again

no, we do not take drugs.

Recreational games FTW!

A BIG HELLO TO ALL HALL 2 RESIDENTS!

As we march towards the last quarter of 2009, it is time for us to tune into the right gear and mood to prepare for the Inter Hall Games this coming December! As most of you may have noticed, your fellow Hall 2 residents are already on the pitch practising the sports played in IHG. Definitely, the recreational games players cannot lag behind!

We have been conducting interviews after interviews to elect the team managers for the different games this week and we will be very keen to know more of the great pool of recreational games players in Hall 2 (not forgetting those sports players who are interested to join too!) :D

Be it darts, boggle or Chinese chess, we welcome all players of any competency and we definitely will not turn away any interested parties! However, we need your support to express interest in the games you preferred to participate in.

For all the freshies, this is a GREAT interaction opportunity to meet the senior residents in Hall 2. With fresh blood in the recreational games sections, we will take the standard of recreational games to greater heights and put on a good show!

Don’t hesitate any further, join us and become part of the team. Trainings will commence soon! Watch this space for updates! For further enquiries, you may wish to contact us directly, Jian Hao (91892075) and Shi Ying (91802890). Hope to hear from you guys real soon!

You heard the Rec Sects fellow Hall 2 mates! Do give some face and participate actively, lah =D

We are recruiting Cheerleaders!

So you think you are rahrah, enthusiatic and bursting with energy? Or do you simply enjoy the pure exhilaration of getting yourself flipped in air?

Well, wait no longer, because Hall 2's Cheerleading Squad is now recruiting and we want YOU!

Show your love towards your hall by cheering for us!

Get out of your comfort zone and try out something new because we assure you it's going to be lots of FUN!

Hesitate no more because no prior experience is needed! :D But if you do, that'll be a plus! (: Gymnasts and flexible people who can do backflips and stunts are strongly encouraged!

Trainings will start next week and it'll be a 2 hour weekly session! Furthur details will be confirmed!

For furthur enquiries or if you're keen to be a part of this awesomely fun team,
contact Melissa Lek, your Welfare Secretary at melizzylek28@hotmail.com / 91387139 with your name, height, weight and picture!

p/s: Oh and for the guys, this involves you as well!
you're definitely MORE than welcome to join us too! (:

JCRC Subcom Registration

Dear Hall 2 Residents,

JCRC subcommers are the hands and legs of JCRC, and they make all Hall 2 events possible and fun for every resident to enjoy. Subcommers help out in a variety of roles in the different subcoms, from doing publicity, taking photos, to managing sports or rec players.

Subcommers get to earn 5 cca points for their participation in JCRC Subcoms. Furthermore, subcommers who impress in the respective subcoms, might get awarded Best Subcommer, and get to earn 7 cca points. The committment level is not too high, and yet the rewards are great: Getting to meet new friends, know more Hall Residents, and a higher chance of staying in Hall 2 the following year.

The subcoms available are: VP's Subcoms (as block managers), Buisness Manager, Sports, Recreational, Publications, Publicity, Cultural, Social, Welfare.
