Hey All,

Sorry for the lack of updates till now. Anyway, with just 2 weeks more to HO closing, its an ideal time to review the sports that have just ended!

As some of you already know, we already won enough Sports this year to equal last year's Gold tally. Starting from 1st Feb, our Rugby guys defended the title superbly with a sudden death try against Hall 3. Then, last thursday, both our Badminton team (vs Hall 3) and Volleyball Girls (vs Hall 7)brought home the title after getting 2nd last year. The Volleyball Girls especially deserved special mention, since they defeated the overwhelming favourites Hall 7 to be Champions. Then last Saturday, our Swimming Team faced off great challenge from Hall 3 to win by half a point! (Updates on these finals to come soon!).

Yesterday, our Tennis Team faced Hall 3 in the finals, and our Squash Team faced Hall 10 in semis. Despite our team being weakened by 2 players having to go for exchange, we still gave a good fight. Adeline won the girls singles match, and Alex, our tennis captain, did very well against his opponenet (who was favourites) to bring the game all the way to the tie breaker before losing by just 2 points. The rest of the team continued to play hard despite this unlucky defeat, and even though we lost, every Hall 2 resident should feel proud from seeing the efforts of our players.

Our Squash team also faced a tough fight against Hall 10. After 3 matches, we were 1-2 down, and needed to win the last 2 games. The team was fantastic though, and we rightly won the last 2 matches to set up a mouth-watering final with Hall 12. The Final will be played on Thursday, 8pm, at SRC.

On the same day, our Volleyball Guys will be playing their Finals against Hall 16, at the same time 8pm, at NIE. If they win this, Hall 2 will be the proud double champs of Volleyball. Thus, I hope all Hall 2 residents can go down with me to support these 2 sports on Thursday. I think the least the players deserve for having trained so hard to bring glory to Hall 2 will be to have us giving the best support we can from the sidelines as they fight for Final Victory!

After Thursday's games, there'll be 1 final Finals Hall 2 will be taking part in. That will be the Basketball Girls Finals. It''ll be next Monday, 16th Feb, at NIE. Hopefully by the time we play that match, we'll already have 6 golds!

That'll be all. Once IHG is over, I'll post the updates of all sports and the standings of the Halls!

Huat Ah!

Taking a break from IH, tonight the residents of Hall 2 came together to welcome the year of the ox. Much effort was placed in an attempt to impress with the line up of activities. However, certain stuff was beyond control. Nevertheless, it served as a worthy lesson learnt.

May the blessings of the Ox bring Hall Two to greater heights!

Much appreciation goes out to all who came and even volunteered to clear up!
