IHG and IHRG Week 5 Updates

14 Jan, Mon, Volleyball (F): Our volleyball girls took on hall 13 in today's crucial match in order to qualify for the quarterfinals.
Our team captain Mainisah was unable to play because she was unwell, weakening our team's strength from the onset. Hall 13 showed no mercy and took a huge lead in the first set. However our determined Hall 2 players, led by stand-in captain Anna , showed that they were no pushovers and chased the game back to a smaller margin. Unfortunately, our efforts did not pay off and Hall 2 lost the first set with a score of 25-17.

Despite repeated attempts to outdo and outplay the competition in the second set, our players were unable to emerge victorious against Hall 13, losing with a score of 25-15.
Special mention to Xiaohui for doing a good job in today’s game, despite it being her first volleyball match.
A big thank you to all supporters who came down to cheer on our girls! From the buzz we created after the match, you would have thought we won the champion title!

17 Jan, Thurs, Water Polo: Our very own Hall 2 Polo Boys sailed to an easy victory against Hall 9 this evening. Despite the absence of two IVP players, Alvin Kuek and team captain Daryl Lim, we were able to earn a crushing 9-0 victory.
Special mention to goal keeper Kenryu Wang who saved every single goal that came his way. We're looking at a team of winners, Hall 2.

20 Jan, Sun, Road Relay: Our Hall 2 Road Relay team took to the SRC tracks bright and early to pit their speed and stamina against the other halls.
The first pair Edmund Ng and Alvin Lee led to team off to a great start with their speed. Our supporters stood at different spots along the route to cheer the team on and give them strength as they battled time and the urge to stop for rest.
We wrapped up the relay with two of our fastest runners, Edwin Leongand Eugene Tang, the team earning a respectable 6th place out of the 16 halls. Here's a shoutout to the rest of the team, Steph YeoKor Kiat Yao,Benny TeoMelody TaiAngela Yap and Choon Hao Wei for their resilience and speed this morning!
