Ladies and Gentlemen, mark down your calendar for this Thursday, 24 of February as we cheer on 2 of our teams in the run for Gold! Our Waterpolo boys will be having their showdown against Hall 3, as the Basketball boys in Black&Gold will face-off with Hall 10, both games a MUST WATCH!
Here's a short message from the boys in trunks ;
Our hall’s water polo team this year has achieved great success in this season’s IHG. Having entered the finals for the first time in 3 years, their dedication and hard work has definitely paid off. The team started off the season with a good mix of a large number of strong and determined freshies as well as a bunch of seasoned and experienced seniors. Their strong commitment to the sport and the hall was shown in the regular training sessions that were held both within the school and out. Some of our training highlights would include the friendlies that we played against teams such as NUS, The National Women’s Water Polo Team and with special focus on the SAJC Water Polo team, to which our teammates can attest to having gained a really good experience in the sport. From the basics to the higher level tactics that we have used to play in our various games, our players displayed splendid determination and team work to help the team reach such a standing in this year’s Hall Olympiad.
Water polo is not an easy sport to pick up, but I am proud to say that our freshies have done well to rise to the rigours of the new challenge. All players have shown good commitment to the sport but I would like to make a special mention to our most improved players, Chia Wang Peng and Harry Peh Yuzheng-Potter. Although Wang Peng and Yuzheng only started learning water polo towards the end of last semester, their dedication and positive learning attitude has moulded them into the players that they are now. Their performances this season has been exceptional and inspirational to the rest of the team. On the whole the entire Water Polo team deserves commendation of their outstanding performance for the entire season.

Our team, undefeated this season, is now faced with their final challenge in the finals against hall 3. Being very much underdogs of the upcoming clash, we will still stand undaunted and give our very best in the match.
